Healthy Popsicles

Summer is just around the corner, and almost as much as swimming and riding their bikes, my kids look forward to an ice cold treat on a hot afternoon. There are so many different ways to make a delicious homemade popsicle. I like to use either Strawberry, or French Vanilla yogurt, and add fruit to it. I also don't meausre anything. I use my best guess as to how much fruit to add to the container of yogurt and when it tastes good, it's done!

  • Mix the yogurt and a can of peaches with the juice in a blender
  • Add 2 tsp of strawberry flavored gelatin crystals, and blend until smooth
  • Freeze in popsicle molds and voila!

They are absolutely delicious! Some other combinations are:

  • strawberry yogurt, frozen strawberries, and strawberry flavored gelatin crystals
  • vanilla yogurt, a medium banana, frozen strawberries, and strawberry flavored gelatin crystals
  • plain or cherry yogurt, maraschino cherries, cherry flavored gelatin crystals, and choclate shavings

The possibilities are endless! Try this delicious, nutritious way to give your kids one of their favourite summer snacks.
